Starting Or Getting Your Business Online

Posted on June 7, 2019 in Uncategorized

Right now is a great time to launch your own online business, as this ever-expanding and constantly evolving new frontier has made it easier than ever to get your products and services noticed by an enormous prospective client pool. Having the correct information before setting out to start your internet business is essential, as it will help you to abide by your local business laws, target the correct niche market and make a great first impression on prospective customers. Great information sites can help you to avoid some of the common pitfalls involved with starting your own online business and put you on the path toward a successful business venture.

Why Start Now

o Lower Start-Up Costs – Our current economic slump has made it difficult and risky to secure the business loans, real estate and equipment necessary to start your business at a storefront location. The internet provides a low-cost alternative to the traditional business start up, allowing you to cut most of the overhead costs from your small business launch and focus your funds on more important aspects of your new business endeavor.

o More Job Security – Many professionals are finding themselves and their co-workers laid off from positions they have held for years. In this instable job market, starting your own online business can provide you with a source of income that is not dependent on a changing traditional job market.

o New Markets – Prospective customers from many formerly untapped markets are browsing the internet every single day. This means that new internet business launches have the potential to reach a wide range of customers from day one. There is much money to be made from internet sales and right now is the perfect time to jump into the online market with both feet.

The Basics:

A few key ingredients are essential when it comes to starting your own online business. If you fail to consider any of these core elements, you may very well come to regret it in a very short period.

Quick List:

o Business Plan
o Business License
o Website
o Relevant Regulations/Restrictions

The bible says that without vision, the people perish. This is certainly true as it relates to starting your own online business. One of the first things you will need to do when getting your internet business off the ground is sit down and write out a thorough business plan.

Things You Need to Include in Your Business Plan:

1. Which niche market you plan on targeting.
2. What you intend to sell.
3. How you intend to go about selling it.
4. How you intend to finance your venture.
5. A clear mission statement (company goal/vision in a nutshell).

Once you have a clear plan for your business, you may want to look into whether or not you will need a business license to proceed. The business licensing requirements vary from state to state, so be sure that you check out your local business license office to make sure that you need one to sell your goods or services. If you are selling items on established sites such as eBay, you will not typically need to acquire a business license. However, if you are selling goods or services via your own website, many states require that you be fully licensed to do so.

If you decide to sell on your own business website, you will need to invest time and money into making it attractive enough to draw and hook prospective clients. In addition to making it aesthetically pleasing, you will need to optimize your website for internet search engines, using Search Engine Optimization techniques, such as:

o Key Word Saturation
o Backlinks
o Bold and Italic text

When you are building your company website, you can spend the time researching and implementing various SEO techniques or you can hire a specialized SEO company to handle the job for you. Be aware that not all SEO companies are equal; make sure to check with the Better Business Bureau (BBB) or other watchdog organizations to make sure that your prospective SEO company will provide you with an honest and effective service for a fair price.

Make sure to check into any specific rules or regulations that may apply to your new internet business via helpful information sites. For instance, the law requires that you protect the privacy of your online clients by keeping the data they share with you (i.e. bank account information) by properly encrypting and storing it against online predators. In addition, you will need to know how much sales tax to add to each sale and you should learn how to copyright your company information so that it is not stolen or copied elsewhere on the web.

Local Internet Business Perks

When you launch a new business online, your marketing potential is quite literally limitless. You can reach individuals all around the globe with your company message, goods and services. However, there are also some local advantages to launching your business online.

One such advantage comes to online business owners in the form of a Google maps business directory. Google Maps has a feature on their maps/directions application that allows web browsers to find local businesses near any address or landmark entered into the search field. This means that when you list your business using Google Maps, you have the potential of being found by a huge number of locals.

Being found by locals equals:

o More prospective customers
o Higher customer loyalty potential
o Grassroots (sustainable) growth

Many other major search engines (i.e. Yahoo) host local business directories and you would be wise to list with as many local directories as possible in order to boost your number of prospective clients by a significant sum.

With the traditional job market reeling and the internet frontier expanding daily, many discerning men and women are looking for ways to launch their own internet business. Taking time to thoroughly research and plan your course of action via information sources can spare you the negative consequences of falling into one of the many pitfalls that new internet business owners are prone to fall into during the course of their journey to having an established and prosperous online business.

Marketing a Business Online

Posted on June 5, 2019 in Uncategorized

Marketing a business online can be hard work if you are starting from scratch. In addition, if you have no previous experience, it’s a problem knowing just how and where to start. And if you have virtually no Internet skills at all, where do you start?

I want to turn this on it’s head although it may not provide the answer for everybody, but sometimes it’s better to put the cart before the horse!

My attitude is this. Why make life any more difficult than it already is? If you have no particular business in mind, the answer is to find a business that comes with a marketing ‘system’ built-in. Unless you are dedicated to a particular product, say one of your own, then you’ll be looking for a business anyway and there are some very good ethical Internet ‘businesses in a box’ that you can buy into.

A critical factor for most of us is how much can we make and how long will it take before our endeavours bear fruit

Are You Prepared To Invest Sufficient Time And Money?
Most people are not prepared to invest enough financially to ensure the best value for money. The old saying that you get what you pay for is especially true when it comes to the Internet. Marketing an incomplete online business can be massively time consuming and frustrating.

If you are serious about an online business, don’t just jump into the first thing that attracts you and also consider a few of the basics below.

  • How much time do you have available to put into your business? If you are not prepared to spend the equivalent of at least 2 to 3 days a week to begin with, I would say you are wasting your time and not really serious.
  • If you have funds available, get a professional to build your website or at least make sure that everything functions correctly, especially if it involves e-commerce which it probably will
  • Will you have an advertising budget? Advertising can attract interest quickly with good keyword optimised pay per click campaign on Google for example. And if you do it right you can keep your costs low but it is very easy to lose your shirt if you get it wrong, so be careful
  • Ideally you should be writing articles several times a week and posting to the big directories and e-zines.
  • You should create a blog, several in fact, along with audio and video and other web 2 stuff

For all but the most experienced and already successful there is a learning curve, perhaps several and there will also be the odd investment to make. There are some fabulous must have ‘tools’ and ‘services’. The best can be quite expensive but worth their weight in gold because they will save you masses of time and produce results that could never be achieved if done ‘by hand’

Attitude Is Everything
There are other issues we could add to the mix but there is one major factor that must be mentioned and that is your attitude.

Unless you are relentless in your efforts, above all else, you will likely fail in your business. Even with a well put together marketing strategy and a great product, there is no guarantee of success, but if you keep going, success will almost certainly follow.

The Internet is vast and each day more and more people are trying their hand at making their fortune online and this means more competition but the majority, perhaps as many as 90%, give up.

There are no quick fixes and longevity and perseverance is the key. You must keep going and keep studying and testing different marketing methods. Marketing is what will make or break your business

With even the best of the genuine Internet businesses, nothing is guaranteed but the rewards can be quite astounding when you persevere.

So Back To Marketing A Business Online
If you are about to market something of your own you will need to study everything you can find that relates to Internet marketing. The danger here is in becoming a perpetual student and never actually applying what you learn.

Marketing is the corner stone of any online business. It will eventually occupy up to 90% of your work activity, once your website (your shop front) is up and running.

The secret of marketing any online business is to become an expert marketer and this must be your goal. All online entrepreneurs rely on many different marketing methods and methods are evolving and changing constantly but the fundamentals remain the same. You must get targeted traffic (visitors) to your site and convert those visitors into your customers. Otherwise, no sales and so no business

But the beauty of it is that this work should eventually only occupy a few hours of your day on average and that’s when you start to live a very different lifestyle, one where you make the choices

A New Breed Of Online Entrepreneurs
There is a new breed of online entrepreneurs who are making a more than an excellent living with only one sale a month. Many, who try a bit harder, are making really big profits and 90% of their effort is automated

To be like them and live their lifestyle, you need to have an online business that includes the following

  • Top quality, high commission products ($2000 and above)
  • It pays you first
  • Not dependent on building several levels of down-line (as in multi level marketing)
  • Has a built in marketing system that just needs personalizing by you
  • No products that you personally have to handle
  • Does not require face to face or even telephone contact with buyers

Top Tier, Get Paid Today
A top tier, get paid today business in a box system, has to be the first choice for anyone serious about making a great living online today.

So why waste your time marketing an online business that keeps you in front of your computer for hours and hours a day with only meager rewards for all your efforts?

I’m sure you agree that you and your family deserve something much better.

How To Setup A Home Business Online

Posted on June 4, 2019 in Uncategorized

It can be overwhelming when you start a home business online. There’s the fear that you might get bogged down with techie problems that seem impossible to understand. Or you might think that you’re too old, too young or too unskilled for the online business world. But with the right mindset and direction, you can do it. There are the 5 steps every online entrepreneur takes when starting a home business online.

1. Determine What You’re Going To Sell

The beauty of a home business online is that you can choose from a wide range of products and services to sell. The most important thing is to get involved with a product or service that you actually like or have an interest in. You don’t even need to have your own products. There are thousands of ready-made products and services that you can sell as an affiliate and earn commissions on every sale you make.

2. Develop A Website

Don’t worry if you have absolutely no technical expertise. There are plenty of online step-by-step video tutorials that teach you how to build a basic home business website. Or if you feel it will be too much for you then you can outsource any technical jobs to freelancers who can do it for you. Check out websites like Elance and UpWork.

3. Get Some Content On Your Website

Your pages, posts and articles need to say more than “buy my products”. Your content needs to contain information that your website visitors will find useful. Don’t just use written text. Use video clips, illustrations, photos, infographics, podcasts – anything that will keep your audience interested so that will want to come back for more.

4. Drive Traffic To Your Website

When you start a home business online your website is just one of the millions of other websites on the internet. So you have to get visitors to your website. There are a number of ways you can do this. Simply by regularly updating your website with useful content will help your website to get noticed by the search engines so that they direct traffic to you. Also, share your new content on social media. If you have some available funds, you can pay to boost that content to your target audience. Aim to have a good blend of both free and paid traffic strategies.

5. Develop A Database Of Prospective Customers

Put an email capture form on the home page of your website so that you can send emails to prospects about your products or services. It’s not likely that a person who visits your website for the first time will buy from you there and then. People need assurance that your online business is genuine and that you provide real value. This is done by building a relationship with them via email. To get someone’s email address you need to offer something of value for free in exchange. This could be a simple e-book, survey or video course.
